Play-off Victory for England’s own
Native Simon Dyson was victorious in a three-way play-off at the KLM Open in our neighbouring Netherlands on Sunday.
Dyson, who previously has shot a course record by equalling 63, was neck-and-neck with Peter Lawrie from Ireland and Sweden’s Peter Hedblom all 15 below par.
The three only needed one play-off hole to decide the victor which turned out to be our very own Dyson, who also won three years ago, by playing a lovely birdy on the 18th with an astonishing 18-foot putt.
Coming in at Fourth and Fifth were Damien McGrane and Darren Clarke.
Dyson was delighted and was the first to enjoy the clubhouse following a superb round with seven birdies.
