People who like playing golf are no strangers to the fact that the sport asks quite a lot in terms of cash. Golf is an expensive sport to get into because it requires you to buy certain bits of kit. However, it is even more expensive to get really good at golf because then you have to draft in the cost of club membership fees and days at the driving range.

Not everyone has the kind of money necessary to get into golf – partly because it doesn’t always seem justified spending your hard earned cash on a sport or hobby. Whenever you do spend cash on your golfing hobby it has to be seen as a treat.

However, it would be possible to treat yourself a lot more often if you gave yourself a chance of winning some money. The guilt-free cash generated by successful games of online bingo at Posh Bingo can go straight to improving your collection of clubs, paying for your membership fees and buying time at the driving range.

Posh Bingo is a great online bingo site, but there are others out there. To find out what they are and to learn about some of the promotions they offer, ohmybingo.com is the place to go.

It wasn’t enough, however to stop Tiger Woods from winning the Fed Ex cup with a cool 10 million dollars.

Woods finnished the championship with 3,750 points, well clear of Mickelson, who finnished second with 2,920 points. Mickelson joked:

“Let me see if I get this straight,” said the left-hander. “I shot 65 and he shot 70 and gets a check for $10m? I’m just kidding.

Tiger Woods, ever the good sportsman was quoted:

Phil played well… he did the things he needed to do this week

Woods needed just 33 puts over 18 holes, but came into real difficulty when it came to putting the ball. No prizes for guessing what he’ll be doing this weekend then.

Tiger Woods Apparently blamed his loss of the USPGA Golf Tournament to Yang Yong-Eun on his poor putting performance.

After watching the replays, i’m inclined to agree. I guess we are all aloud our “off days” though. I think he should be relly pleased with the result he got.

“I felt I played well enough to win today,” said Woods.

If a player wins both the tournament and the Race to Dubai they will take home £1.7m compared with £2.2m, a similar reduction of 25%.

I can’t help but feel a little sorry for the players this time around, Loosing out on a huge wedge of cash due to the worlds ecconomic position.

It’s apparently been discussed at great length over the past few years that Golf should be added to the Olympic games. The IOC finally agreed to add it into the extensive list of olympic games… So we should be seeing a 40 year old Tiger Woods with a Gold medal hanging around his neck real soon.

I’m not too sure I agree with the move.. The Olympics just doesn’t seem like the right sort of competition for a sport like Golf. Wouldn’t they be better to accept a sport like squash or Karate. I jsut think it would be more suited to the type of competition that the Olympics has become.

.. Although I guess it just means there will be more Golf on the TV though so its all good.
