Christmas is just around the corner and everyone is starting to get some present ideas together. The shops are filled with decorations, gift ideas and of course calendars for next year.

These make an excellent gift idea and you can normally find a calendar to suit anyone in your family or your circle of friends.

If you have a sister who is in love with a certain popstar, then you can give her a calendar featuring photographs of this popstar. There are even calendars that you can choose for your mum, featuring stars of her favourite television programme.

But when it comes to your dad, it’s difficult to choose the right calendar. That is of course, unless he is a golf fan. If your dad can’t stay away from the golf course, then a golf calendar is the ideal choice, when you’re looking for presents for your dad.

There are calendars to suit a huge range of interests, so if your dad is keen on golf, then what better way to treat him than with a golf calendar.

There are a few golf themed calendars to choose from so take a look at the options and ensure that your dad loves the present you get for him this year.

Our very own Justin Rose, who initially started the day, only one small shot behind the leaders which saw him on 13 under, had a finishing last round score of 68 which unfortunatley saw him two strokes short of the American golfers.

Sergio Garcia from spain ended up finishing on a par 70 to miss the play-off by a shot.

Garcia was careless as he pulled out three bogeys and threw his three shot lead halfway in the final round to end on an unlucky 15 under.

As the sensational record-breaking victory of Usain Bolt’s 100m time came to the world in Berlin at the weekend, a golfer from South Korea was writing his own paragraph in the history books.

Yang Yong-Eun’s amazing comeback victory at the PGA Championship was just as important to the club swinging sport as Bolt’s record-shattering 9.58 seconds 100m timing was to the athletics world.

In just a couple of days Yang went beyond the previous achievements of Huan Lu-Liang and Chen Tze-Chung (TC Chen) from Thaiwan, Isao Aoki from Japan, and fellow KJ Choi, by becoming the first Asian-born male to win one of golf’s four majors.

Dyson, who previously has shot a course record by equalling 63, was neck-and-neck with Peter Lawrie from Ireland and Sweden’s Peter Hedblom all 15 below par.

The three only needed one play-off hole to decide the victor which turned out to be our very own Dyson, who also won three years ago, by playing a lovely birdy on the 18th with an astonishing 18-foot putt.

Coming in at Fourth and Fifth were Damien McGrane and Darren Clarke.

Dyson was delighted and was the first to enjoy the clubhouse following a superb round with seven birdies.
