This course covers 5806 metres, has par 72 and is located on the western side of Benalmadena Costa. Torrequebrada was created by the most well known Spanish Architect, Pepe Gancedo, who has been faithful to the undulating landscape to provide a course where no two holes are the same.

The course was built in 1979 and has presented quite a few of the most prestigious golfing tournaments, such as the 1979 Spanish Open.

The lawns are well maintained, with special attention being given to the fairways. Hole nine has a water feature to contend with and there are more than one hundred well established trees edging the fairways.

The course has bunkers specifically positioned on the fairway and golfers will notice the well shielded greens a test.

Torrequebrada is about three kilometres inland, with a spectacular outlook of the Mediterranean, which proves well liked with golf lovers. The restaurant and bar have terraces which have views of the sea also.

The course covers 6340 yards, has par 72 and a slope level of 133. It should be noted that the course lengths have been confirmed in yards and from the yellow tees. In addition, the rating for the slope level is off the yellow tees.

Torrequebrada is about quarter of an hours drive from Fuengirola and forty five minutes from Puerto Banus.

The Monte Mayor was created by Malaga born Pepe Gancedo and is situated in the hillside flanked by Estepona and San Pedro de Alcantara. Pepe Gancedo’s motto is ‘why move the earth when a golf hole should follow the natural contours?’

This course is one of the most impressive in the area with stunning scenery at each of the 18 holes. The course makes for a testing round of golf with rocky areas only suited to those with perfect aim.

Monte Mayor wends its way through the valley, with plenty of crevasses and gorges, meandering streams, flat fairways and high lined trees. The going is quite steep in parts so the tariff incorporates a buggy.

The course is excellent for a round of golf, with a club house that is snug and well liked. It is, without a doubt, not to be missed with the amazing views that surround Monte Mayor.

The course covers 5890 yards, has par 71, a slope level of 132 and has a handicap of 28 for men and 36 for women. It should be noted that the course lengths have been confirmed in yards and from the yellow tees. In addition, the rating for the slope level is off the yellow tees. In addition, the golf club offers club rental, locker room, showers and pro shop.

Monte Mayor is a three quarter of an hours drive from Fuengirola and twenty minutes from Puerto Banus.

La Cala Golf offers three different courses, the newly opened Campo Europa Course, the South Course which was opened in 1991 and the North Course opened since 1992. All of which were created by Cabell B. Robinson and are all very different.

The Campo Europa course is par 71 and covers 6050 metres, is quite exciting, however, it is the easiest of the three courses, and so more suited to under par golfers as it has bigger greens and liberal fairways.

The South Course is par 72 and covers 5966 metres with a course more appropriate for those with a perfect aim and precision, whilst in stunning surroundings. This course is a test for every standard of golfer.

The North Course is par 73 and covers 6187 metres, with a professional style design. Even professional golfers find it a trial from the white tees. However, the extra width of the fairways and the challenging tee positions ensure that this course is suitable for most standards of golfers.

All three of the courses have ‘Bermuda Tifway 419’ fairways, which are strewn with bunkers and have strong hilly greens. La Cala Golf also offers a golfing range close to the club house, a practice green, a 6 hole par 3 course and a large driving range, bunker and pitching zone.

The South Course covers 6461 yards, is par 71 and has a slope level of 137, the North Course covers 5953 yards and a slope level of 128. It should be noted that the course lengths have been confirmed in yards and from the yellow tees. In addition, the rating for the slope level is off the yellow tees.

La Cala Golf is ten minute by car from Fuengirola and about half an hour from Puerto Banus.
